Full VPN protection for the entire network
The Flint 2 supports the WireGuard and OpenVPN protocols (client and server) at the router level — all traffic from every device on the network passes through an encrypted tunnel automatically. There’s no need to install a VPN client on each phone, laptop or TV separately. WireGuard reaches up to 900 Mbps, and OpenVPN up to 880 Mbps thanks to built-in DCO support (kernel-level encryption acceleration); over 30 VPN services are supported. We recommend the GemiGuard VPN service for maximum compatibility and performance.
Fast Wi-Fi on the 802.11ax standard
Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ax delivers up to 1148 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 4804 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. OFDMA, MU-MIMO and WPA3 encryption keep the connection stable even with dozens of active clients, while four external antennas and DFS support extend coverage across the whole apartment or office. That’s enough for 4K video streaming, lag-free online gaming and video calls all at once.
Six Ethernet ports and two 2.5 Gbps ports
The Flint 2 is equipped with six Ethernet ports: two 2.5 Gbps ports (one WAN, the second switchable between WAN and LAN) and four 1 Gbps ports. This delivers maximum wired-connection speeds for NAS servers, workstations and video streaming. The second 2.5 Gbps port can be switched into a second WAN mode to set up Multi-WAN with load balancing and automatic failover to a backup channel. The USB 3.0 port supports USB tethering — handy as an extra backup internet source when your main connection goes down.
OpenWrt, AdGuard and parental controls
The OpenWrt operating system gives you full control over settings, updates and thousands of additional packages. AdGuard blocks ads, trackers and phishing sites across the entire network, while DNS encryption via DNS over TLS hides your queries from your provider. Built-in parental controls with Bark support let you filter content, enable safe search and limit internet usage time.
GemiGuard Mirage for the Flint 2
On request, we install GemiGuard Mirage — a special version tailored for the Flint 2. Mirage strengthens the router’s privacy: it encrypts DNS queries, randomizes MAC and BSSID, wipes system logs and removes the history of connected Wi-Fi clients. This is an additional layer of anonymity for users who value confidentiality.
